For years, the advice was simple: get your eight hours, whenever you can fit them in. A growing body of research refines that message in an important way. The hours of sleep early in the night - roughly the window between 10pm and 2am - appear disproportionately rich in the deep, restorative stages that make the early night the most restorative stretch you have.
